The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission’s decision to extend delivery license exclusivity through April 2029 is an exciting and meaningful step forward for the cannabis delivery community. As a Social Equity delivery operator, Rolling Releaf sees this extension as an opportunity to continue building a sustainable, customer-focused business while contributing to a more equitable cannabis industry in Massachusetts.
Delivery services remain one of the newest innovations in the regulated cannabis market, and this additional time helps companies like ours invest in growth, create jobs, and improve access for consumers who value convenience, privacy, and safe delivery. We’re grateful to see the Commission recognize the importance of protecting these opportunities while the delivery sector continues to mature.
For Rolling Releaf, this news isn’t just about policy, it’s about momentum. It allows us to keep doing what we do best: delivering high-quality customer service and cannabis products directly to our customers while helping shape the future of cannabis delivery in Massachusetts.

WORCESTER—The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (Commission) on Friday voted unanimously (4-0) to make regulatory changes that will extend the exclusivity period for delivery licenses through April 2029 and improve the Secret Shopper off-the-shelf testing program. Following Friday’s vote, the updated regulations will go through the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s promulgation process for implementation prior to April 1, when the current delivery exclusivity period for Social Equity Program Participants (SEPs) and Certified Priority Economic Empowerment Applicants (EEAs) is set to expire.
