In this blog, we’re shining a light on MA cannabis culture, while highlighting some exciting events happening in the near future.
Revolutionary Cannabis Wellness in MA
First, let’s talk about how legal cannabis is revolutionizing wellness in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In a recent article in Boston Magazine, current cannabis culture was prominently featured as an already-established wellness hub, five years after legalization.
This culture also takes pride in looking towards the future:
“Major advances continue to occur at the intersection of cannabis and personal wellness, but this is only just the start. Legalization and the constantly increasing number of adult users statewide is already leading to further medical research, which is expected to generate innovative new cannabis products and treatments across years and decades to come.”
Next, keep reading as we highlight some exciting cannabis-related events occurring in MA!
NECANN Boston — March 10-12, 2023
Coming up quickly is the NECANN Boston. Per their website:
“The 2023 New England Cannabis Convention, a.k.a “The Annual Meeting of the East Coast Cannabis Industry” is back!
Featuring a sold-out exhibit hall showcasing hundreds of companies spanning the full spectrum of the cannabis and hemp industries, plus five full programming tracks running all three days, with over 120 expert speakers covering all the relevant topics and news for the New England markets.
There are also several separate ticket workshops available, and of course tons of great after-parties and networking events all weekend.
In addition, the Annual N.E. Cannabis Community Awards Show honoring some of the people and organizations putting in good work will be held in the reception hall at the Hynes starting at 7pm Friday night, and the NECANN Cup award winners showcasing the best cannabis grown in the northeast will be announced on the exhibit hall floor at 4pm on Saturday.
This year’s event will be our largest ever, proving once again that when it comes to conventions, if it isn’t NECANN, it’s NOT the New England Cannabis Industry!”
Boston Cannabis Week — September 18-24, 2023
Secondly, coming up in the early fall of 2023, is the Boston Cannabis Week. According to their website:
“Conceptualized in 2016 and launched in 2019, Boston Cannabis Week is managed by Lisa Finelli Fallon, Danny Moore and Scott Bettano.
The partners set out with the goal of creating a platform for the professional cannabis community that celebrates all the facets of the cannabis industry, making it specific to New England while honoring Boston as the epicenter of the East Coast cannabis community.
Since its inception, BCW has grown to a team of 35 people that power the entire week of events and ancillary programming throughout the year. Our team has grown to include industry specialists from cannabis cultivation, veteran services, wellness, banking, media, fashion, law enforcement, promotions and event production.
Boston Cannabis Week and it’s creative agency, BCW Beyond are woman owned, women led and locally managed.
Boston Cannabis Week’s mission is to normalize cannabis in our communities, by providing platforms for open dialogue, communication, education and the arts. The focus is to connect educators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, community representatives, media, retailers and consumers. BCW’s expertise is creating experiences celebrating cannabis culture, community, academia and lifestyle.”
The Harvest Cup — November 11 & 12, 2023
Last but certainly not least, we come to The Harvest Cup, which is taking place on November 11-12, 2023 at the DCU Center in Worcester! Per their website:
“The Harvest Cup is the premier New England cannabis competition, culminating with an expo featuring speakers, demonstrations, vendors and the reveal of all the winners.
New England is now green with all states supplying medical marijuana to patients and FIVE (MA, ME, VT, RI and CT) with legal cannabis. It’s time to show other regions that our growers and producers know a thing or two about cannabis.”
